Myeongdong Events Calendar 2027
Twenty-four dated things in and near Myeongdong in 2027: the district's own light and retail calendar, the cathedral's liturgical year, and the public holidays that decide which counters open. January and May carry a page of their own; the other ten months are here in full. November has nothing published yet and says so, rather than guessing.
January 2027
Five dates, two of them closing on 31 January β the lanterns and the Shinsegae wall β with the ice rink and the Grand Sale running on into February.
February 2027
The four-day Seollal block from the 6th, with New Year's Day on the 7th rather than the 6th, then Lent opening at the cathedral on the 10th.

The date that decides your trip is the 7th, not the 6th: Korean New Year falls a day after the Chinese one in 2027, and the district's own information centre shuts for it.

It is the cathedral's own new year, and no Mass time is published for 2027 yet β confirm in the week itself.

Nothing else in February has a published 2027 date β the winter festivals end on 31 January β so Lent is the month's only fixed appointment.
March 2027
A Monday holiday on the 1st and Holy Week from Palm Sunday on the 21st to Easter on the 28th.

Two three-day weekends a week apart, 2β4 and 9β11 October.

November 2027
No public holiday between 9 October and 25 December, and no 2027 date published for any festival here.
November is the one empty month in this calendar, and that is a finding rather than an omission: no public holiday falls between Hangeul Day on 9 October and Christmas on 25 December, and every November event we have tracked β K-Sale Festa, the kimchi-making season, the Namsan Night Festival β ran in 2026 without publishing a 2027 date. This section is re-checked as the autumn programme is announced.
December 2027
Christmas on the 25th with the Monday substitute, and a winter programme the city has not announced yet.

It is the one date in December you can plan on today: three days off from the Saturday, and the cathedral, the street food and the department stores inside one walk.
